Ever since the age of 12, I started developing expression lines around my eyes due to my facial eczema. The steroid cream did more harm than good by drying out my eye and neck area. From a young age, I started using extortionately expensive eye creams and face creams which did little to nothing to my skin.
So I started dermaroller and laser in my early 20s. Treatments were expensive and therefore I needed to find something a little more affordable as at at-home upkeep. I started searching for serums in the market that would help “reverse” some of the damaged caused by my eczema. That was when I stumbled upon DECEIM’s Hylamide Subq Anti-Age Advanced Serum on an Instagram post. I was overjoyed to find that the company has reduced the price for the product from £30 to £18 which is a bargain for that range.
Here is a quick review on DECEIM’s Hylamide Subq Anti-Age Advanced Serum :
💦What is it: ‘A highly active concentrate of advanced hyaluronic complexes, next-generation peptides and biotechnological technologies to target rehydration on and below skin surface, while visibly improving lines, wrinkles, sagging skin and textural damage’.
💦Who is it for: Those who have dry/ dehydrated and ageing skin with concerns of fine and dynamic lines
💦Packaging: 5/5 – It’s a dropper bottle. It does the job. It’s basic but practical. I can’t see any other delivery method.
💦Texture/ Ingredients: 5/5 – It contains 5 type of hyaluronic acid and contains peptides. It is light in viscosity, a bit runny. As I understand, this helps the serum to be absorb quicker into the skin.
Here is the full ingredients list:
aqua (water), glycerin, ethoxydiglycol, hydrolyzedyeast extract, sodiumhyaluronate crosspolymer, pentylene glycol, tamarindus indica seed gum, pseudoalteromonas fermentextract, hydrolyzed sodiumhyaluronate, sodiumhyaluronate, polyacrylatecrosspolymer-6, trisodiumethylenediamine disuccinate, lactobacillus/eriodictyoncalifornicum fermentextract, saccharideisomerate, copperlysinate/prolinate, palmitoyl tripeptide-38, myristoyl nonapeptide-3, ahnfeltia concinna extract, ethylhexylglycerin, methylglucoside phosphate, cetylhydroxyethylcellulose, hydroxypropylcyclodextrin, polyglucuronic acid, hexylene glycol, salicylic acid, lecithin, phospholipids, caprylyl glycol, sodiumhydroxide, citric acid, potassium sorbate, sodiumbenzoate, sodium citrate, chlorphenesin, phenoxyethanol, leuconostoc/radish rootferment filtrate.
💦Efficacy: 5/5 – I am absolutely in awe of this product. I was previously using The Ordinary’s The Ordinary 10% Agireline Solution and decided to try this instead. The Ordinary version did work but it was just I wanted something a little stronger and also serves to hydrate my skin. I pair this serum with 0.5mm dermaroller about twice a week. I did this very lightly just to make sure that the serum would penetrate deeper into my skin. After about 4 weeks, I noticed that my left under eye (where the wrinkles are more profound), there were less folds when I smile. That is when I realise that the serum absolutely worked for my wrinkles.
Here are the key ingredients:
- Copper Lysinate/Prolinate – Swiss technology to targets collagen for improvement in skin health and age.
- Nonapeptide-3 Retino-Complex – Promotes better anti-aging results without being as harsh as Retinol.
- 5 Hyaluronic Compounds – Ultimate rehydration of skin below and on-surface & plumps skin.
- Saccharide – Hydration skin barrier to keep the moisture in.
- Antartic and Hawaiian Algae Complex – Promotes skin renewal and prevents moisture loss.
💦Price: 4/5 – I’ve to say at £18 for 30ml it is quite an affordable high-endish product. It used to cost £30 for 30ml so the new price is an absolute bargain.
💦Mode d’emploi: Used after toner, followed by facial oil, moisturiser and SPF (at night).
💦Repurchase: Most definitely!
💦Overall Rating: 4.5/ 5 ⭐ This is a definite “must-try” serum!
